Description

DELTASeal Backer Rod is a closed cell polyethylene foam supplied in circular cord length.

DELTASeal backer rod is used at the base of joint opening to provide the proper shape factor In a sealant. It is also, water repellent ,high weather proof and chemical resistance.

DELTASeal Backer Rod Appl ication is the diameter of the backer rod is recommended to be approximately 20 to 25% larger than the width of the joint. It should be positioned so that the required minimum sealant depth can be obtained. The circular section of the backer rod provides a convex face giving a minimum strain shape for elastomeric sealants while reducing the stress at the bond interface.
