Summary
DELTA Coatings International completed the rehabilitation of GRE pipelines for the Hatta Dam hydroelectric power project in the UAE using DELTAShield HP 500 PW.
Hatta Dam is a large-scale tourism and recreational reservoir feeding the GCC's first hydroelectric power station. The project has a storage capacity of 1,500 MW/h and an expected operational lifespan of 80 years.
The project owners required a high-performance lining system capable of extending the lifespan of worn GRE pipelines exposed to internal abrasion and impact damage.
Following extensive long-term abrasion and impact testing, DELTAShield HP 500 PW was selected for its superior performance characteristics.
The turnkey retrofit project was delivered on a supply-and-apply basis by DELTA Coatings International.
