A variety of coatings were up for consideration with the consultant DEC(Dynamic Engineering Consultants) for the waterproofing of the undersea adventure pool. The important point to consider was the VOC content and toxic levels the final coating would outgas/emit after completion. The client was very cautious for the safety of marine life that will be accommodated in the salt pool.  WRAS and Dubai Municipality potable water approvals were the main considerations for DELTA Coatings to win the job with DELTAShield HP 500 PW.

The PH levels of the salt water pool have remained stable over the years and the coating has not harmed the eco system and inhabitants. When considering coatings for marine life, it is important to consider environmentally friendly solutions for the safety of marine life. In addition to the above; the fast setting elastomeric coating was applied with DELTAPrime 2K SF Primer and DELTAPrime Filler in only ten days to complete the project.
