Summary
Qatar metro required a solution for insulating and waterproofing the entire steel frame, encapsulating around the metro stations. The materials had to undergo E 84 fire certification DELTA Coatings International took up the task of offering a unique concept and system for the project.
Fire rated Polyurethane foam was applied at 50 mm thickness on a preinstalled wire mesh outline frame directly on the steel structure The foam was then over coated with the seamless layer of DELTAShield HP 400 @ 2 mm thickness The client was very pleased with the speed of application for the instantly curing system and the high hardness of the coating which could easily be walked upon by the maintenance team as and when required.
