KALESHWARAM LIFT IRRIGATION PROJECT PACKAGE VI

The Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP) is a multi-purpose irrigation project on the Godavari River in Kaleshwaram, Bhoopalpally, Telangana, India. It is world's largest multi-stage lift irrigation project from an untapped body of water.

The project was in a critical stage as it needed to be completed prior to the deadline of September 2019. 300 meters below ground, various products were tested; DELTAShield system was approved by ICAD Telengana Government for lining of the twin tunnels and surge tanks.

The substrate in the surge tanks was shotcrete which provided a very uneven surface for the liner to be applied directly. SAVIN DELTA Coatings International implemented the use of a Polyurethane Foam of 60 kg/m³ density as the base coat prior to the application of the liner DELTAShield HP 400. Every 50 m² the liner was sprayed directly on the shotcrete as anchoring points.

The speed of application and curing times of the products helped complete the project on time.
