DELTA Coatings International was selected to provide a high-performance waterproofing and protection system for a large-scale below-ground retaining wall using DELTAShield Hybrid 500, our advanced spray-applied hybrid polyurea technology.
Designed for demanding below-grade environments, DELTAShield Hybrid 500 forms a fully bonded, seamless membrane that eliminates the overlaps and weak points associated with conventional sheet membrane systems. The spray-applied system delivers complete adhesion to the concrete substrate, preventing lateral water migration and providing long-term protection against groundwater ingress, hydrostatic pressure and aggressive soil conditions.
The rapid-curing membrane also enabled efficient installation and accelerated construction while delivering a durable waterproofing solution capable of accommodating structural movement throughout the life of the asset.
